July 11, 2009 – A Beautiful Day In July for a Wedding
Hi There,
Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day in the morning, but got a little strange in the afternoon with scattered rain showers! Yes, rain showers in July! It was better than temperatures in the 100′s! This wedding was in the backyard of a family friend. What a yard this is….it is like a park!

Outdoor Wedding, Garland for the BarThere were two bars set up for the guests. This bar was just outside the back door of the home. We used two garlands on either end of the table for decoration.Pretty pink centerpieces
The centerpieces for the reception were a mass of pink spider mums, in a short cylinder vase. The vase is lined with a ti leave and inside I used 1/2 block of floral foam to hold the stems in place. Very simple, but classy.
In another part of the yard there were cocktail tables set up. On these tables we used the centerpieces from the night before (Rehearsal Dinner). It’s a great idea to reuse as much as possible.
This was one of two of the large florals used at the church. At the church these florals sat in urns on top of pedestals. One of the florals was left at the church, as a courtesy. This was came back to the reception and was used on this garden cart for added decor. Again, it is a great idea to reuse anything you can!
The lovely couple taking pictures at the church. The bride carried a peony bouquet (the very last of the season) and the groom wore a white lisianthus boutonniere.
