Happy Valentine's Day

I had a pretty big order for this morning in Valentine’s Day colors and flowers…..all red and white roses.  One of my tips for saving money on your wedding flowers is to AVOID getting married anywhere near Valentine’s Day.  The cost of roses start to creep up in the weeks preceeding Valentine’s Day.  The week before Valentine’s Day the prices are significantly higher than normal.  I bought roses on Wed., 2/10/10 and by Saturday, when I needed to go get one more bunch for a last minute add on, I paid 2 1/2 times more than I did on Wednesday for the same roses!!!  And, that was still 8 days before Valentine’s Day!

These centerpieces contain 18 red roses and 18 white roses (total 3 dozen in each) with green hypericum berries and greenery collars with bear grass loops in silver mint julep cups.
