Happy New Year

Welcome 2009!  This is going to be a great year.  It is important to think positively and not succumb to the media frenzy about how bad the economy is.  You need to make your own reality and not buy in to what the media wants you to think.

Tomorrow is my interview with Bonnie Graham on KGBB out of Long Island, New York.  It is interesting that just 12/21/08, the NY Times posted an article titled: Recession? Time to Slash the Flower Budget.  You can read the article here: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/fashion/weddings/21FIELD.html?_r=1.  It is all about brides opting to have smaller weddings, spend less on their gowns, invite less people and YES, cut back on the wedding flowers.  Go to my website and sign up for my free report:  9 Ways to Save Money On Your Wedding Flowers.  You can still have gorgeous flowers and save money, if you opt to do them yourself.  You will have to make a commitment if you choose to do this.  This does take TIME.  This does take PLANNING.  And, know that if you choose to do this with no idea about what is involved, you may save money, but you may also walk down the isle with ugly, wilted flowers.  PLEASE don’t let that happen to you.  I’ve done everything I can and included EVERY LITTLE DETAIL so that this won’t happen to you in my workbook and DVD’s.  The BONUS DVD is probably the most important of all of them.  Because in that DVD I show you how to process your flowers.  Processing your flowers can make or break how they will hold up for you.  I cannot stress how important it is to process your flowers.  Processing your flowers includes cleaning them, prepping them, storing them in preservative in tepid water for at least 2 hours and then refrigerating them.  How you cut the stems makes a difference in how they will hold up.  Because how you cut the stems directly links to the ability of the flower to drink up water.  Water is as important to flowers as air is to us!

Visit my new website to learn more about what is included in the Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide Workbook and DVD’s.  I promise you, you will LOVE what you will learn how to do when you buy my workbook and DVD’s.  I give you so much information, you could actually start your own Wedding Flower Business.  I’m not suggesting that you do that, but I know that you will have enough information to do that, if you choose to do so.

Let me know what you think.  I’d love to hear from you.

I am going to be adding a page to the website for testimonials.  I’d really like you to send me pictures of the bouquets and centerpieces you create when you follow my instructions.  I want you to share with other brides how the process worked for you.  Feel free to share the time involved and whether you found it easy or hard to do.  Tell me how your guests responded when they saw what you created and learned that YOU created them.

Until next time, The Wedding Flower Diva
